The award was presented at the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Forum, Ota Branch Young Lawyers’ Summit 2026, held on 2nd July 2026, in recognition of his commitment to the growth, mentorship and professional development of young lawyers.

As Chairman of the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum, Ota Branch, Mr. Kuyebi has championed initiatives aimed at expanding professional opportunities for young lawyers, strengthening mentorship and networking, and exposing members to both local and international perspectives on contemporary legal practice.

His tenure has featured professional development programmes, strategic engagements and international collaborations, culminating in the successful convening of the maiden NBA-YLF Ota Young Lawyers’ Summit 2026. The Summit brought together distinguished members of the Bench, Senior Advocates of Nigeria, senior members of the Bar, international speakers, accomplished practitioners and young lawyers for conversations on professional excellence and the future of legal practice.

The Merit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Young Lawyers’ Development is a meaningful recognition of Mr. Kuyebi’s continuing commitment to creating platforms and opportunities through which the next generation of legal practitioners can learn, connect and grow.
